MM2H
MM2H, Malaysia My Second Home visa is a long-term visa scheme initiated by the Malaysian government to allow non-Malaysians to reside in Malaysia as expats on a long-term basis.
Golden Visa
The MM2H visa, a so-called Golden Visa, is open to all foreign citizens from countries recognised by Malaysia, regardless of race, religion, gender or age. Applicants are allowed to bring their spouses and unmarried children below the age of 21 as dependents.
The MM2H visa offers multiple categories, each with its own set of requirements and benefits. These categories include Silver, Gold, Platinum, -MM2H, S-MM2H and SBH-MM2H.
MM2H Categories
The Silver category requires a fixed deposit of RM500,000 and comes with a renewable 5-year visa. The Gold category requires a fixed deposit of RM2,000,000 and comes with a 15-year visa. The Platinum category requires a RM5,000,000 fixed deposit and includes eligibility for Permanent Residency. The VIP-MM2H, S-MM2H and SBH-MM2H categories have their own unique requirements and benefits, which are subject to change.
The MM2H visa offers a host of benefits. Participants are allowed to purchase property, invest in local businesses and bring in their own car. MM2H-holders are also eligible for tax exemption on pension and any and all offshore income brought into Malaysia.
